Hurricanes, Cyclones and Typhoons. Tornadoes. Severe thunderstorms. Flash floods. Snow and tropical storms. Earthquakes. Tsunamis.

All of them can knock out mobile networks, and then your phone become basically useless to call for help.

We changed that!

Our Succour app was specifically designed for those situations…with only opening it, it sends your succour request to your family and friends, using one of the most powerful social networks: Telegram. At the same time it turns on a Bluetooth beacon with your personal data, that can be detected by rescuers and volunteers nearby. And if cellular and Wi-Fi networks become unavailable due to the emergency, it activates a local Wi-Fi hotspot that can be detected.

To save battery Succour sends a message every 15 minutes, containing the date and time, your phone number and name, your predominant medical condition, blood type, battery level and location; this information makes easier for rescuers, paramedics and friends to find you and plan better how to help you.

The Bluetooth beacon continuously emits a signal containing your phone number (which allows you to be identified), your medical condition, blood type, battery level and location. Bluetooth beacons from people requesting succour can be detected by the Succour Others function of the app.

Other situations where Succour can make a difference:

An emergency at home, while driving or doing outdoor activities (i.e. injuries, run off the road accident, falls)

Being trapped or injured inside a collapsed building

Getting lost in the woods or in the snow

Personal safety risks (kidnapping, rape, robbery)

Quality of life

#1 - Project Vidu: Design, develop and license for manufacturing a low-cost gadget for blindness and visual impairment, that can detect obstacles around and alert users of their proximity.

#2 - Project Eduki: Develop online education programs for people with physical challenges, to help them build new labor skills, that can lead them to better job opportunities, and as a result boost their self-esteem.

#3 - Project Konstrui: Design and build a pilot, world class education, training and amusement facility, that can receive people with different physical challenges and their relatives. This facility shall be easy to replicate in other parts of the world.

#4 - Project Magneta: Research on magnetism, to build a shopping cart that lightens the load transported.

Adaptation to climate change

#1 - Project Akvo: Design, develop and license for manufacturing an autonomous system for homes that collects the water used in the shower and chemically treats it, to be used for operating the toilets. This would save thousands of gallons of water!

#2 - Project Frukto: Design, develop and license for manufacturing a low-cost solar powered facility to process perishable fruits, with cold rooms to preserve the products until shipment.
