User reviews show widespread stability and usability problems. Frequent outages and crashes, login failures, and forced browser-based steps dominate, along with serious transaction barriers (cannot sell or complete actions). Data presentation is inconsistent (portfolio values differ, gains/losses missing, limited history). The overall UX is poor, with intrusive prompts and UI elements blocking access. When functional, the app is described as easy to use, but reliability issues severely limit its usefulness.

Pros

When it works, the app is easy to use.

The app conceptually supports investment management in one place when functional.

Cons

Frequent outages and crashes; app down multiple times per month.
Recurrent login problems, including forced web/desktop steps and occasional account lockouts.
Inability to perform transactions due to UI issues like inaccessible Next/Submit buttons and blocked actions.
Data/portfolio inconsistencies: different values between dashboard and holdings; missing gains/losses and history beyond 6 months.
UI/UX issues: unintuitive interface, disruptive prompts to use web, and navigation/control conflicts with Android UI (edge-to-edge/overlay).

login very frequently says vague "system unavailable" when logging in. have some respect for your customers and put system status in the message so we're not left wonder if our credentials weren't just compromised, and we have to clean up because of your poor ux slop. outages happen, communicate the details and build trust. the vague message erodes it. will be avoiding the rest of Morgan Stanley products and services because of this poor experience.
