CoastWatch

CoastWatch is a free application for mobile phones that concerns all the areas of responsibility of the Parnitha, Schinias & Saronic Gulf Protected Areas Management Unit of OFYPEKA, with emphasis on marine and coastal ecosystems.

Provides the possibility of sending photos by the citizens-users of the areas in the context of Citizens' Science with simultaneous reporting of violations for the protected beach of Schinias, garbage recording form in the context of coastal cleaning organized systematically by the Management Unit and other agencies and individuals, as well as information material on the protected flora and fauna of the Management Unit.

The CoastWatch application was developed in the framework of the program "Rational Management, Rehabilitation and Targeted Awareness / Awareness Actions for the Coastal and Marine Ecosystems of the Parnitha National Park Management Unit, Schinias & Protected Areas of the Saronic Gulf. months (May 2021 - November 2022) and is implemented by the Organization of Natural Environment and Climate Change (OFYPEKA) with contractor MEDASSET. The program is funded by the Attica Regional Development Plan 2014-2020.
