Home Controller

Home Controller is a client for a self-hosted home automation system —
not a generic smart home app tied to a specific manufacturer or cloud service, but a control panel connected to self-developed
ESP32/ESP8266-based devices, MQTT broker, and backend.

LIVE DEVICE MONITORING
- Live sensor data (temperature, humidity, brightness) via MQTT, with instant updates
- Device status: firmware version, WiFi signal strength, free memory, uptime

DEVICE CONTROL
- Send message to device display
- Remote control of tunable white LED strip (on/off, brightness, preset profiles)
- Device reboot, start firmware update

DEVICE MANAGEMENT
- Add, rename, delete your own devices
- Approve/reject registration of new devices
- Turn on/off automatic firmware update per device

SHARE
- Share devices with other registered users, with view or write rights
- Accept/reject incoming sharing requests

SECURITY
- Password and passcode (biometric/passkey) login
- Network traffic can only go to your own server (network security config +
certificate pinning), local session data is stored encrypted on the device
- No third-party advertising or analytics in the app

The app requires its own, running IoT backend and MQTT broker to function — it does not include a built-in
cloud service and is not compatible with smart home systems from other manufacturers.
