Larix Player delivers real-time playback for a wide range of live-stream protocols. It supports SRT (Pull/Caller, Listen, Rendezvous) using SRT library 1.5.0, SLDP, RTMP/RTMPS, Icecast HTTP, and HLS/MPEG‑DASH via ExoPlayer. The extension registers as a system handler for sldp://, rtmp:// and srt:// links in browsers and includes features such as Videowall, playback history, and screenshot capture.

Premium options remove time limits for SRT, RTMP and Icecast streams and enable advanced Videowall functionality. SLDP playback is available as an open-source Media3 DataSource for ExoPlayer (see the sldp-media3-exo-plugin on GitHub). Supported codecs include H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, VP8/VP9, AAC, MP3 and Opus; AC3/E-AC3 over SRT may be available depending on device hardware. Widevine and PlayReady DRM are supported for MPEG‑DASH via ExoPlayer. For developers, Larix Player’s open-source components enable embedding SLDP and building custom apps.

This application has been fantastic, but cannot justify paying a monthly subscription. As someone else said I can do a one-time 25 dollar commitment but otherwise it's back to VLC for me. All I have needed it for is to monitor a stream of an SRT feed. Also if parts of the app are pay for you that needs to be stated initially in the app store
