SnapWhen is a camera app for Android that automatically takes a photo as soon as a user-defined condition is met. Instead of manually triggering the shutter, you simply enter text—the app monitors the camera image and takes the picture at the right moment.

Typical use cases: Group photos where everyone should smile. Reaction shots. Situations where you don't want to be glued to your phone.

HOW IT WORKS

You enter a condition as text, for example, "everyone looking at the camera" or "thumbs up." SnapWhen continuously analyzes the camera image and automatically takes the picture as soon as the condition is met. You don't have to do anything else.

LOCAL RECOGNITION—free, no internet connection required

The app recognizes basic gestures and expressions directly on the device:

- Smile
- Thumbs up
- Open palm
- Fist

AI RECOGNITION—for custom prompts

For more complex or custom conditions, AI analyzes the image based on your text. Examples:

- "Everyone is looking at the camera"
- "Group hugging"
- "Child smiling"
- Any custom descriptions in German or English

NOTES

The app requires camera access. When using AI, images are temporarily transferred to an external server for analysis and are not permanently stored. A Google account or email address is required for registration.
