ReadText: Teleprompter Video

A teleprompter for video that keeps it simple: paste your script, hit record, and read it right next to the camera lens while you film.

ReadText is a teleprompter app with a built-in video recorder. Your script scrolls in big, clear text just under the camera, so you look into the lens instead of down at a note. Set the speed in real words per minute, tap the text to pause, and every take goes straight to your gallery. There is no account and no sign-up, and your scripts stay on your phone.

WHY CREATORS LOVE IT
- Paste and go: paste a script, or share text from any app, and start recording in seconds
- Real reading speed: set words per minute and see how long your script takes before you film
- Voice pace: the text moves while you speak and waits while you pause
- Arrows mark the line to read, and the lines you have read fade away
- Private by design: no account, no cloud, scripts and videos stay on your device

RECORD WITH THE TELEPROMPTER ON SCREEN
- Front or back camera, in portrait or landscape
- The script is shown on screen only and is never burned into your video
- A countdown, then the script and the recording start together
- Every take is saved to your gallery: watch it, share it, delete it or record another take
- Front camera video saved the right way round, or mirrored if you prefer

A SCRIPT EDITOR MADE FOR SPEAKING
- Write or paste your script; it saves as you type
- Stage directions in [brackets], like [smile] or [pause], show in color and are not read out
- Word count and running time at your speed
- Made for vlogs, reels and shorts, tutorials, product videos, presentations and speeches

MAKE THE PROMPTER YOURS
- Text size, line spacing, side margins and reading line position
- White, amber or paper colors
- Mirror text for a glass teleprompter rig (beam splitter)
- Prompt only mode turns a phone or tablet into a full-screen autocue
- Drag the text panel to give the script more or less of the screen

PLUS (OPTIONAL)
- Unlimited scripts
- Unlimited recording length (takes are up to 1 minute without Plus)
- 4K video on cameras that support it
- Remote control: a Bluetooth keyboard, page turner, selfie remote or earbud tap pauses, scrolls and changes speed
- No ads
- Monthly or yearly, with a free trial on yearly. Cancel any time in Google Play
- Or watch one short ad to unlock a single full-length take

Whether you need a teleprompter for your channel, a script reader for a presentation, a speech prompter or a simple autocue for product videos, ReadText keeps your eyes on the lens and your words flowing.
