The SafePath Connect service is free for an initial period of 90 days. You may cancel the service at any time.

To use the SafePath Connect service, you must download the SafePath Connect app on both the parent’s or guardian’s device and on the child’s device. Parents and guardians, install the SafePath Connect app on your device and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account and invite additional users. Only authorized users have permission to use the app to locate a family member’s device. Use of the service requires Android version 9.0 or higher.

SafePath Connect is a family safety tool intended to support, not replace, parental supervision. The service monitors the location of devices, not people, and depends on factors including network availability, device settings and the cooperation of the monitored device’s user. Availability, timeliness or accuracy of location is not guaranteed.
SafePath Connect uses the Device Administrator permission to enable phone security features like remote lock and wipe when a phone has been lost or stolen. The same permission is also used in case parents want to be alerted whenever kids try to evade the parental controls set on their phone.

SafePath Connect uses Google Accessibility Services API to enable parents to set up parental controls on their children’s phones to protect them from unwanted or dangerous content. No information is processed or collected using this API except for the purpose of blocking the content defined by the user.

SafePath Connect uses the VpnService API to enforce parental controls restrictions on child devices.
