SmartKhata: Udhar Bill & Stock

Stop chasing your udhar in a paper book.

SmartKhata is a khata, billing and stock app built for Sri Lankan shops — retail, grocery and mini marts, pharmacies, restaurants and cafés, wholesale, hardware, and phone shops. Every customer balance, every sale and every rupee of stock — in one place, on your phone and on your desktop.

Why shop owners switch to SmartKhata

The credit book never balances when it's spread across three notebooks, two of them at home. A Rs. 2,000 debt from four months ago quietly becomes money you've already written off — without ever deciding to. Asking for it back is awkward, so the call never happens, and the older a debt gets the less likely it is to come back. Meanwhile stock is a guess: you find out something ran out when a customer asks for it, and slow movers sit on the shelf tying up cash you could be using.

SmartKhata fixes it with one ledger, one bill, one reminder.

📒 Credit book (khata)
One running ledger per customer, always up to date. Balances are colour-coded by how overdue they are, so you know who to follow up with first — at a glance, no digging through pages.

💬 WhatsApp payment reminders
Send a reminder with one tap. Your customer gets a link to a clean statement page showing exactly what they owe — no confrontation, no awkward call.

🧾 Billing and POS
Ring up a sale in seconds. Stock updates automatically as you bill — no separate step, no forgetting to update inventory later.

📦 Stock management
Know what's running low before a customer asks for it. See which items are actually moving and which are just tying up your cash on the shelf.

📊 Reports
Cash in the drawer isn't profit. See what a genuinely good week looks like, backed by a real record instead of a guess.
