CurrencyWatch quietly watches exchange rates for you and sends a notification the moment a pair crosses a threshold you set — all on your device, with no account and no tracking.

WHY CURRENCYWATCH
• Three independent rate sources, one trustworthy answer. Every check queries Frankfurter (European Central Bank reference rates), ExchangeRate-API, and Currency-API in parallel, then combines them with a consensus rule so a single bad reading can't trigger a false alert.
• Truly private. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no servers operated by us. The only thing ever sent over the network is the currency codes for the pair you're watching — never any personal data, device ID, or identifier.
• Alerts that live on your phone. Notifications are generated and shown locally by the app. No SMS, no remote push, no third parties.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Add a currency pair (for example USD → EUR), set a threshold, and choose a direction (above or below).
2. CurrencyWatch checks the pair against every enabled source on a schedule you control.
3. When the sources agree the threshold is crossed, you get a local notification with the rate, the threshold, and which sources triggered.

BUILT-IN GUARDRAILS
• Consensus modes — require any one source, a majority, or all sources to agree before alerting.
• Disagreement warning — cards flag when sources diverge by more than 0.5%.
• Auto-bump — after an alert fires, the threshold can step in your chosen direction so you keep getting fresh signals as a trend continues.
• Cooldown and a cap on how far auto-bump can drift, so you're never spammed.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO (on purpose)
• No analytics, ads, or behavioral tracking.
• No phone numbers, no contacts, no location.
• No backend and no cloud sync — your watchlist stays on your device.
