Does it just give the answer?
No. The design is the opposite. Kids get the concept, then the reasoning, then the answer, then a quick check that confirms they followed along.

What subjects does it work best on?
Math and reading comprehension are strongest. Science and history are solid through 9th grade. It is not a replacement for a human tutor on advanced or AP-level material.

Is my child's homework sent anywhere?
The photo is sent to a cloud AI model for analysis, then discarded. It is not stored on our servers, not used for training, and not associated with any user account (there is no user account).

Are there ads?
No. Slate Student does not show ads and does not integrate ad networks. Analytics and crash-reporting services are also not initialized in this flavor — the app does not transmit events, crash payloads, or user identifiers to any third-party observability service.

How much does it cost?
The app is free to download with 5 quests per week included. A subscription unlocks unlimited quests; the price is displayed in the paywall and can be cancelled anytime from the Play Store.
