Digit Vale: Sudoku Puzzles

You already know how sudoku works: one through nine, once per row, column, and box, on a standard 9x9 board. What Digit Vale gets right is the part that usually goes vague, the difficulty. Each of the three levels is set by how many numbers you start with, not by a label. Easy hands you a generous opening. Medium drops to roughly thirty to thirty-four given digits, the range where short logic chains stop being enough. Hard strips the board down further still, leaving just enough to stay solvable.

Tap any cell and the board reads back to you. The full row, column, and surrounding three-by-three box light up, and every other cell already holding the same number lights up with them, so spotting where a digit can and cannot go takes a glance instead of a hunt.

For cells with more than one candidate, switch on pencil mode and tag the possibilities right in the corner. The moment you commit a real answer to that cell, the pencil marks clear themselves, so the grid never fills up with stale guesses. A misstep that repeats a number inside a unit is flagged on the spot, and a single undo walks back your last move whenever you change your mind.

Every level keeps its own scoreboard — your best finishing time, the fewest moves you have needed, and the number of puzzles you have solved — with a one-tap reset when you want a clean slate. Nothing leaves the device — there is no login and nothing to subscribe to.

There are no hints and no timer pressure, because a hard puzzle is supposed to take a while. Digit Vale is a straightforward sudoku board for people who just want to sit down and solve.
