SkyPointer

SkyPointer - The easy way to find Planets, ISS and much more

Features & Capabilities

SkyPointer is a user-friendly Chrome extension designed to help astronomy enthusiasts locate celestial objects such as the sun, moon, the brightest planets like Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, and Uranus, as well as satellites like the ISS, Hubble telescope, and the Chinese Tiangong2 station. It enables users to view positions of these objects at specific dates and times, making celestial observation simple and accessible.

The extension works offline except when downloading satellite orbit data, ensuring usability without continuous internet access. Users should ensure their compass is calibrated for accurate positioning. SkyPointer also helps in observing different solar altitudes across seasons and provides visual cues about the brightness and appearance of various celestial bodies, enhancing the stargazing experience.

USE TO REALLY ENJOY THIS APK UNTIL IT STOPPED WORKING AFTER I BRAGGED SO MUCH ABOUT IT
by A *****, 2018-06-16

I agree too. This IS one of the best apps I have seen and I`ve tried a few over the years. Not only is it easy to understand and easy to use it is totally accurate. Since I started using this app 6 months ago I have learnt the position of all the listed planets and I have even found a small and faint Uranus with it, I`ve watch Jupiter and Saturn for the past 3 months dance across our night skies and watched Venus disappear off our evening sky and do nearly a full revolution of the planet. I have discovered many of our constellations from Virgo through Sagittarius and and now know the position of a lot of the key Stars in the Southern Hemisphere and the most incredible of all I have seen our International Space Station fly across our night sky not once but three times so far. All I can say is well done Gerhard, a truly outstanding app among apps. Just a quick comment for Robert Bartusiak. If you find the app inaccurate check location of your device is set to high accuracy and calibrate Skypointer as it simply shows. YOU are the ONLY negative comment amongst them all. Does that tell you something? Shame to see the rating of good work reduced due to someones inability.
