Features & Capabilities

The Magnetic Field Sensor Chrome extension provides a clear and interactive way to measure and visualize magnetic field data directly in your browser. It displays the x, y, and z components of the magnetic field along with its inclination, enabling users to understand the magnetic environment around them. Additionally, it features a 3D compass needle that graphically represents the orientation of the magnetic field, helping with spatial awareness and navigation.

This tool is perfect for students, engineers, hobbyists, or anyone interested in magnetic fields and navigation aids. Its intuitive interface and real-time data visualization enhance learning and practical understanding of magnetic phenomena.

Works exactly as advertised, I don't know why people say it doesn't work. It would be nice if there was a magnetic field visualisation or at least clarification if the compass points towards the magnetic source or points with the magnetic field. EDIT: the compass points with the field not towards the source. Also the app needs to have a phone with a magnetic sensor to work (obviously) that's likely the source of all the comments. You can check with the app "sensors multitool"
