Smart Messages - SMS & MMS

Smart Messages is a fast, clean SMS and MMS app built around one promise: your messages stay on your phone.

We don't run servers that store or read your texts, contacts or attachments. Everything is kept on your device, and backups are encrypted and saved only where you choose.

WHAT YOU GET
• SMS, MMS and group messaging with photos, videos, audio and contacts
• Smart notifications: reply, mark as read and copy one-time codes right from the notification
• Schedule messages to send later
• Private conversations: move chats into an encrypted vault that opens with your fingerprint, face or screen lock
• App lock and screenshot blocking for extra privacy
• Block numbers, filter by keyword, send unknown senders to a separate folder, and report spam to your carrier
• Search across names, numbers, messages and attachment names
• Pin, archive, mute and swipe to organise your inbox
• Trash with automatic clean-up, so nothing is deleted by mistake
• Encrypted backup and restore to a file you choose
• Light and dark themes with Material You colours
• Dual-SIM support

PRIVACY FIRST
• Messages, contacts and attachments are processed only on your device
• No link previews that could tell other servers you received a message
• Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports help us improve the app. You can turn either off in Settings → Privacy
• Ads are limited to one spot in the inbox and one at the bottom of Settings. There are no ads in your conversations or while you type

PERMISSIONS
To send and receive texts, Android requires Smart Messages to be your default SMS app. SMS and MMS permissions are used only for messaging. Contacts are used to show names and photos. Notifications are used to tell you about new messages.
