Graphite Flat Minimal Launcher

Graphite Flat is a calm, flat home screen for Android that clears away the clutter and shows what you actually use: the time, the weather, what's next on your calendar, and your apps, neatly organized.

A HOME SCREEN THAT SHOWS INFORMATION
• Large, clean clock and date
• Weather with current conditions, highs and lows from MET Norway, plus National Weather Service alerts where available. Optionally show humidity and wind, in the units you choose
• Two weather styles: crisp monochrome Graphite Weather, or Color Weather, muted cut-paper artwork with a slight animation. You can turn the motion off, and it pauses with Battery Saver or reduced system animations
• A "Next" agenda card and calendar widgets for the calendars you choose, with month calendar labels in each event's color (calendar access is optional)
• Notes, Sound Mode and clock widgets, plus standard Android widgets
• Widget stacks: up to 6 Android widgets in one spot; swipe to switch
• Multiple home pages and a dock of up to six apps
• Swipe down on Home to open your notification shade

FOLDERS
• Drag one app onto another, or onto a folder, to make or fill a folder, on Home or in the dock
• Folders open in a panel over the icon, with pages. Tap the name to rename it, and drag apps to reorder them or out onto Home
• Suggested folder names, optional A to Z sorting and TalkBack actions

FLAT FEED: HEADLINES LEFT OF HOME
Swipe right from your first Home page to open Flat Feed, a calm page of headlines from 12 built-in public-interest sources, many of them government agencies, grouped by topic.
• Each story shows its headline, its source and sometimes a thumbnail. Tap to read it on the publisher's site
• Pick topics the first time you open it, then reorder them and turn topics or sources on or off in Settings
• Add your own RSS or Atom feeds (https, up to 20), stored only on your device
• Grayscale, color or no thumbnails; pull to refresh, background refresh every 3, 4 or 6 hours, and a Wi-Fi-only option
• Flat Feed connects directly to each publisher. Turn it off in Settings and it downloads nothing

• Swipe up for all your apps
• Your own categories, in your order, plus hidden apps
• Fast app search on your device
• Search also does quick sums and can hand a search to your own browser or search app

• Dark, Light or Follow system theme
• Graphite, Deep Graphite, Warm Graphite and Slate surfaces
• Accent colors, including a custom accent
• Monochrome icons, icon size and labels
• Grid, page and dock layout settings

• Back up and restore your layout to a file you choose

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking
• City search uses data bundled on your device
• For weather, your chosen location's coordinates, shortened to 4 decimal places, go to MET Norway and the National Weather Service. With Current location, Android may look up a place name
• Your layout, settings and Flat Feed choices stay on your device
• Web searches go to the browser or search app you choose
• Once a day, Flat Feed checks 16bitbytes.com for updates to its built-in source list; no identifiers are sent
