OnyxGo is a mobile app for Site 20/20's Onyx Traffic Control customers. This app allows your employees to view their schedules, work on tickets, complete jobs, and fill out their timesheets/tripsheets.

Note: Onyx is available to Traffic Control companies as SaaS software. This app will not work until you are a customer.

OnyxGo – Geofencing for Field Worker Location Monitoring
OnyxGo is designed specifically for field workers and traffic controllers who perform location-based jobs created in the Right Traffic Onyx Traffic Control software. Dispatchers assign tasks with specific geographic coordinates, and OnyxGo’s geofencing functionality enables field workers to be notified of their job locations and assists in confirming arrival and departure from these assigned sites.

Purpose of Foreground Service & Location Tracking
OnyxGo uses a Foreground Service to monitor geofences, providing real-time tracking of job-related locations while a field worker is actively working on an assigned job. This functionality enables several critical user benefits:

Arrival and Departure Detection: By monitoring job site coordinates, OnyxGo helps field workers accurately log arrival and departure times, which is crucial for job tracking, client billing, and worker accountability.

Job-Specific Alerts and Notifications: When a worker approaches or leaves a job site, the app generates timely notifications to confirm these events, enabling the dispatcher to manage job progress and completion.
Field Worker Safety: Knowing when a field worker enters and leaves a job site helps companies monitor and ensure worker safety, especially in remote or high-traffic areas.

User Benefits and Privacy Protection
The geofencing service operates only while the worker is engaged in an assigned job, and location tracking is visible to users via an active notification. Field workers have full control to disable the service through the OnyxGo app settings when they are off duty, thereby maintaining privacy and ensuring the service is limited to job requirements.

Foreground Service Notification
The app visibly notifies the user that location monitoring is active whenever a Foreground Service is in operation. This ensures transparency, allowing the field worker to easily manage and understand when OnyxGo is using location services.
