SIS Tanzania

SIS Tanzania is the national School Information System developed by the Government of Tanzania through TAMISEMI. It digitizes and centralizes student, teacher, and school data to strengthen planning, reporting, and decision-making at school, council, and national levels. SIS works both online and offline, ensuring reliable use in remote or low-connectivity areas.

Key features include student registration and enrollment history, daily attendance tracking for students and teachers, behavioral assessments, Continuous Assessment modules, automated student promotions, and robust inventory and school profile management. SIS also supports supplementary programs (AEP, DEWS, NET), tracks Out-of-School Children (OOSC), and manages school feeding data — empowering teachers, head teachers, ward education officers, and national planners to improve service delivery and ensure inclusive, quality education.
