Hotspot Bridge turns your Android device into a lightweight hotspot bridge, making it easy to route traffic from your phone to local network services.

Built for technicians and operators, the app exposes a local "virtual modem" server that forwards TCP traffic to target IPs/ports on your LAN—ideal for accessing edge devices, proxies, and service endpoints while on the move.

Hotspot Bridge works with any Android device running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or above, making it perfect for re-using spare devices you have lying around. Since the app must always stay near the network components you want to expose, it's not designed for daily use on your main device.

This app only works with the SIMSY SIM and requires the SIMSY App to onboard a physical SIM or eSIM. A SIMSY account with credit is required to activate and use the service.

Key features include a persistent foreground service for reliability, LAN discovery to help locate nearby devices, and a simple UI to manage connections. Hotspot Bridge integrates with SIMSY's login flow for secure access and uses standard Android networking—no VPN required.

How it works
1. Add forwarding rules (listen port → target IP:port).
2. Create a proxy url using the same listen port.
3. Start the virtual modem server on your Android device.
4. Connect clients to your phone's local IP; the app forwards traffic to the LAN endpoint.
