Text Editing App TXT Reader

Open, read and edit plain text files on your phone. No clutter, no sign-up,
no waiting for a splash screen. This is a text editing app built to launch
fast and get out of your way, whether you are jotting down a quick thought
or fixing a config file someone emailed you.

Everything works offline. Your files stay where you put them, in plain .txt,
readable by any other program you use today or five years from now.

WHAT IT DOES

- Opens any .txt file straight from your file manager or an email attachment.
- Autosave keeps your work if the app closes unexpectedly.
- Adjustable font size and dark mode for reading long documents comfortably.
- Search and replace across the whole file in one step.
- Full undo and redo history, so a mistake never costs you a paragraph.
- Pick the character encoding (UTF-8, ANSI, ISO) when a file shows odd symbols.
- Line numbers and word count when you need to keep track.
- Recent files list takes you back to whatever you were working on.
- Share an edited file to any app on your device with one tap.
- No account and no cloud sync you did not ask for.

PLAIN TEXT, EVERY DAY

A plain text editor is one of those text tools you end up using every day
without thinking about it. Among the text tools people keep installed, an
editor simple enough to open instantly tends to beat anything heavier. This
one behaves like the editor tools you already know from the desktop: open,
type, save, close.

If you are looking for a text editor for android that does not ask for
permissions it does not need, this is it. As a simple editing app it covers
the basics properly, and as a small editing app it stays light on storage.
People who want a write editing app for drafts, or a files editing app for
configuration files, get the same tool.

WHO USES IT

Writers use it as a text writer for first drafts. Students use it as a notes
editor for class. Developers open it when they need used code pulled out of
a log file. The editor editing app category is crowded, but most options add
features nobody asked for.

Among editing tools app options, this one keeps the interface bare. The
editing tools you actually need, find, replace, undo and encoding, are one
tap away. The editor write text flow is straightforward: open a file, edit
it, save it. When you need text help formatting a document, or simple help
recovering something you closed by accident, the app stays predictable.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE

Keeping text simple is the whole point. A text simple enough to read on any
device travels well. Some of the tools used for writing lock you into their
format; the tools used here are plain files. Whatever text tools you move to
next, your documents will still open.

For quick capture, jot editing ideas down as they come. Writers who collect
editing ideas across sessions can keep one long file instead of a dozen
apps. The same goes for small ideas that do not deserve a whole notebook.
Small ideas add up, and a plain file holds them fine.

Use it to write ideas down before they disappear, or to write ideas out in
full when you have time. Some write tools push you toward templates; these
write tools stay out of the way. A text editing app should let you type, and
this one does.

FOR DEVELOPERS AND NOTE TAKERS

Developers keep it around for used code fragments, snippets pulled from
logs, or the used code they need to paste somewhere else. It doubles as a
notes editor for TODO lists, and the editor tools cover the rest. When you
need text help with an encoding problem, switching the charset usually fixes
it in one tap.

An editor simple to launch beats a suite you have to wait for. Get text help
from the built-in search, keep your text writer habits, and let the app be
what it is: a place to put words. If you need simple help getting started,
there is no learning curve to speak of. The tools used matter less than
whether the file still opens next year.
