Playground – Toddler Games

Playground (Dutch: "Speelplein") is a collection of ten simple games for children around three and four years old. You pay once. After that there is nothing else: no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription, no account, no internet.

WHY THIS APP EXISTS
Download a free toddler game and you usually get an ad network with it. A video your child cannot dismiss, a button that leads to a shop, a counter logging what they touch. Playground does none of that. The app requests no permissions at all and sends nothing off the device. Switch the tablet to airplane mode and everything still works.

THE TEN GAMES
- Chicken crossing - tap where the chicken should go
- Driving - steer by tilting the tablet
- Friendly snake - the snake follows your finger
- Balloon castle - pop the balloons before they reach the castle
- Peeking critters - tap the animals popping out of their burrows
- Catching fish - drag the net to the fish
- Shape puzzle - drag each shape into the matching hole
- Butterfly - hold your finger down to flutter upward
- Magic chalk - draw with rainbow chalk, then wipe it clean
- Treasure hunt - brush away the sand and see what is underneath

BUILT FOR SMALL HANDS
- You cannot lose. No game over, no timer, no lives. A miss makes a funny sound and play simply continues.
- It adapts. Each game gets slightly harder when things go well and easier when they do not - per game, automatically.
- Nothing to read. Everything is carried by pictures and sound.
- Large targets, slow movement, no flashing and no harsh sounds.
- Stars are collected; every ten stars there is a small celebration.
- The screen stays awake while playing.
- One button mutes the sound.

WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO
No ads. No in-app purchases. No subscription. No account or sign-in. No internet connection. No analytics, no advertising ID, no tracking. No camera, microphone, location or contacts. No Android permissions whatsoever. Nothing leaves the device - there is nothing to collect.

Works on phones and tablets. The games are in Dutch, but no reading is required.
