Shri Madhavji

Shri Madhavji is a Vedic astrology app that shows its work.

Every chart is computed from JPL DE421 ephemeris data using the Lahiri ayanamsa - the same arithmetic a careful astrologer would do by hand, done exactly. Where a reading rests on a rule, the app names the rule and lets you see the working.

THE CHART

- Kundali: your birth chart with the divisional charts (vargas), planetary strengths, and Vimshottari dasha to five levels
- Panchang: tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana for any day and any place
- Shubh Din: choosing a day the electional way, with the reasoning shown rather than a score
- Outlook: how the day, the month and the year read for you, with the Shoola Chakra drawn as the trident it actually is
- Transits: where the grahas are now, against your chart
- Prashna: the horary chart, cast on the moment you ask
- Matching: compatibility read the traditional way

DEVOTION

- Live darshan: 49 temples and shrines - the twelve Jyotirlingas, the Shakti Peethas, the Char Dham and the great Vishnu seats. Each with its story, its coordinates, the graha it answers to, and a way through to whatever is streaming right now. Free, and no account needed.
- Japa counter: count by tapping, or let the app listen and count the rhythm for you. The audio is analysed on your phone and never leaves it.
- Mantras and bhajans, ragas by time of day, and a sleep programme built from your own dasha

HONEST BY DESIGN

The Shoola Chakra is shown in the caution register where it belongs, never as a prediction about anyone's life. Where sources disagree, the app says so. Where the book has a gap, the app says that instead of inventing something to fill it.
