ShoreCasts: Tides & Fishing

NEW for April 2025, ShoreCasts has developed a salinity-blazing AI tool --GuideCast-- that gives anglers the power to create comprehensive Do-It-Yourself Fishing Guides. These Guides will help anglers target the top potential target species for each inshore saltwater fishery across the Coastal United States. Our plans incorporate real-time tidal and weather predictions provided by NOAA, in cohesion with AI to generate highly personalized trips that provide scouting techniques & strategies for each season’s top Target Species based on variables such as planned day to fish, what fish are active for the season, lunar phase, wind predictions, chance of precipitation, and tidal fluctuations. GuideCast trips can be planned up to 7 days in advance and allows anglers to select their mode of transportation for their outing from Boating, Wading, Kayaking, Shoreline/Beach, Pier Fishing, or a General Guide.

ShoreCasts provides tide predictions, fishing-focused weather forecasts, and the locations of thousands of tackle shops, marinas, boat ramps, and artificial reefs across the coastal United States. Use our interactive map to plan your next fishing or boating day trip, or to scout the perfect spot for your next destination fishing trip.

Our map contains over 1300 NOAA Tidal Stations, which users can click on to see precise tidal predictions in a specific area. These stations also provide air and water temperature, allowing fishermen and boaters to predict the exact conditions they will encounter on their trip.

ShoreCasts' daily and hourly weather forecasts are determined using latitude and longitude coordinates from the map's center point, allowing anglers to obtain highly localized predictions for specific beaches, bays, islands, or any area they wish to fish. These specialized forecasts include everything a fisherman needs: sunrise/sunset times, first/last light times, moon phases, and wind speed/direction, along with standard weather forecast information such as temperature, precipitation chance, and a description of the conditions.

Our map also includes locations of and information for boat ramps, marinas, tackle shops, and artificial reefs across the coastal United States. In addition to finding the closest place to buy bait/tackle, fishermen can investigate detailed satellite images to plan their entire day on the water: where to put their boat in, the best places to dock or get gas, and what the approaches for different boat ramps and marinas look like.
