SHODO MASTERY

SHODO MASTERY is a calligraphy app that allows you to simply take photos of a model and your finished work with your smartphone camera, and an AI calligraphy master will compare and score both.

It supports both brush calligraphy and handwritten works on half-size paper. It can be used for practicing regular script, semi-cursive script, cursive script, copying classic works, and New Year's calligraphy. It scores the shape and balance of characters, allowing you to improve in a game-like manner, aiming for rank and grade certification. This app supports 14 languages and can be used by calligraphy, Kanji, and Calligraphy fans worldwide.

The essence of improvement in both calligraphy and handwriting lies in the accumulation of imitation—how faithfully you can approach the model.

SHODO MASTERY is a calligraphy app that cherishes this essence.

The AI calligraphy master will rigorously score how closely your work comes to the model you freely choose.

This app isn't just a vague AI judgment of "good" or "bad" calligraphy; it's a unique system that numerically shows "how faithfully you copied the example."

■ 14 Language Support, Anywhere in the World
Overcome language barriers and use it in 14 languages. Even if there isn't a Japanese calligraphy class nearby, you can start serious calligraphy practice wherever you are in the world.

■ 29-Level Ranking System from 10th Grade to Master
Start at 10th grade and advance as you practice.
The "Promotion Judgment Period" is from the 21st to the end of each month.
This is your chance to showcase the results of your practice and advance.
Build on your daily practice and aim for the highest rank, "Master."
You can advance one rank per month.

■ AI Precisely Scores Your Fidelity to the Selected Example
It's incredibly easy to use.
Simply take (select) a photo of the example image and a photo of your finished work.
The AI Calligraphy Master analyzes the shape, balance, and ink application of characters against a model example, scoring their fidelity.

Objective feedback, rather than relying solely on intuition, improves the quality of your practice.

■ Choose your own model examples, official or your own.
In Japan, many people work on assignments in calligraphy magazines daily, striving to advance in rank. SHODO MASTERY also allows you to enjoy practicing at your own pace while aiming for advancement.
You can use official model examples tailored to your rank and level completely free of charge within the app, or you can choose and practice with model examples you already own.

You can freely choose a model example to suit your mood and goals—this one today, that one tomorrow.

■ No restrictions on location, time, or day of the week.
Many people give up on continuing calligraphy due to various constraints, such as "not being able to find a good class nearby" or "not being able to attend on a fixed day or time due to work or household chores."

But with SHODO MASTERY, you can practice anytime, anywhere—late at night, early in the morning, or during your free time—using your favorite models.

■ The Habit of Calligraphy: Beneficial for Brain Health
Calligraphy is an activity that simultaneously uses multiple areas of the brain: observing and understanding a model, then moving your hand to reproduce it.
Recent research has reported that activities based on writing may help maintain cognitive functions such as memory and emotional stability.
Of course, calligraphy alone cannot prevent illness, but as an easy habit to incorporate into daily life, it should help create time to keep your brain active.

■ Maintaining Motivation with 35 Types of Badges and Items
You can acquire 35 types of beautiful badges and special items through promotions and challenges.
You can continue your calligraphy journey while enjoying it like a game.

■ Today's Challenge & World Ranking
The "Today's Challenge," which is given daily, does not have a model.
Test your skills in "Today's Challenge," a challenge mode where you try to write without a model.
Please try this challenge while recalling or imagining your writing style based on your past experience.

The results will be displayed as a ranking based on the previous day's results, and "Attractive Works Selected by the Calligraphy AI Master" will also have their photos displayed on the ranking screen.

You can continue practicing while enjoying friendly competition and seeing the works of users from all over the world.

■ Progress Record
The "Growth Comparison" function allows you to check past and current works side by side. You can objectively review your improvement, which may be difficult to notice on your own.

To use "Growth Comparison," you need to have been using the app for at least two months.
