AKCS Security

AKCS Security is the gate app used by security staff at residential communities that run on AKCS. It replaces the paper visitor register with a phone: every person, vehicle and parcel that enters or leaves is recorded, and residents are notified in real time.

This app is for on-duty security personnel only. You need an account created by your community's management to sign in. Residents use the separate AKCS resident app.

WHAT GUARDS CAN DO

Visitor and delivery entry
• Scan the QR pass a resident sent their guest, or type the code by hand
• Register a walk-up visitor and send the resident an approve or deny request
• Capture the visitor's photo and vehicle number
• Mark entry and exit, so the gate always knows who is still inside
• See the day's expected visitors before they arrive

Identity checks
• Optional face match against the photo the resident supplied
• Aadhaar-based verification where the community requires it

Parcels and deliveries
• Log a parcel left at the gate and hold it for the resident
• Record the hand-over when the resident collects it
• Look up a courier by phone number for repeat deliveries

Patrols
• Start a patrol round and scan checkpoints along the route
• Each checkpoint records GPS location, time and a photo
• Review a summary at the end of the round, and past rounds in history

Staff and workers
• Check domestic help, drivers and maintenance workers in and out
• Mark attendance for security staff on shift
• Refresh an expired gate code for a worker

Vehicles and cabs
• Search a vehicle by number to see who it belongs to
• Approve pre-booked cabs before they reach the gate

Calling
• Call a resident from the app over the internet, without dialling a personal number
• See recent call history

Alerts
• Receive emergency alerts raised by residents
• See a flag at check-in when a flat has outstanding dues, where the community has enabled it

PERMISSIONS AND WHY THEY ARE NEEDED

Camera — scanning QR passes, and photographing visitors, vehicles, parcels and patrol checkpoints.
Location — recording where each patrol checkpoint was scanned, to prove the round was walked.
Microphone — voice calls to residents.
Notifications — visitor approvals, emergency alerts and incoming calls.
Foreground service (phone call) — keeps a call connected and shows an ongoing call notification while the app is in the background.
