Shilog

Shilog Driver is the work app of the drivers of SILOG HANDLING & LOGISTICS LTD, a vehicle-logistics company in Israel. It is intended for the company's own authorised drivers; access requires an account created by a company administrator.

What the app does
• Your mission list — every vehicle-transport mission assigned to you, ordered by day and time, with pickup address, destination and vehicle details.
• Step-by-step mission handling — from starting the mission, through arriving at the pickup point and driving to the destination, to completion, with every step reflected instantly at the dispatch centre.
• Digital transportation form — photograph the vehicle from four angles plus the dashboard, mark existing damage on a vehicle diagram, add notes, and capture the digital signatures of the person handing the vehicle over and the person receiving it. The completed form is delivered to the customer at the end of the mission.
• Vehicle handover and roadworthiness tests — record the test result and attach the supporting document from the field.
• Notifications — immediate alerts for a new mission, a re-assignment or a cancellation.
• Area assignment board — area managers see four days of their area's missions and assign a driver.

Location tracking during a mission
The app collects location data, including when it is closed or not in use, in order to show the driver's position on the dispatcher's live map in real time, compute the route and ETA of the transport, and assign the next mission to the nearest driver. This is a core function of the system: without it the dispatcher does not know where the customer's vehicle is.
To protect driver privacy, collection is deliberately restricted: it happens only while the driver is signed in, and only Sunday to Thursday between 07:00 and 19:00 Israel time. At night, and all day Friday and Saturday, the app transmits no location at all — even mid-mission. Signing out stops collection entirely. No location history is retained, only the single most recent position, and the data is never used for advertising and never sold.

Permissions
Location (including in the background) — to show the driver on the dispatch map and compute the transport route.
Camera and photo library — to photograph the vehicle and attach documents to the form.
Notifications — for new missions and changes.
