29 card game: bid, set hidden trump, win tricks. Free, with friends or bots.
Some games you learn. 29 you remember.
The Jack slammed down. Your partner's glance across the table. The trump you kept hidden until the moment it mattered most. Turup 29 brings the card game you grew up with — fast, sharp, all nerve and teamwork — to your phone, exactly the way you remember it. Only now, your table is never empty.
Grab a partner. Sit across from a friend. Or jump into a quick game with smart opponents — any hour, anywhere in the world.
WHY 29 GETS UNDER YOUR SKIN
The twenty nine card game is a partnership trick-taking game for four — you and your partner across the table, two against two. And here is the surprise that hooks you for life: in 29, the whole world turns upside down. The Jack, usually a middling card, becomes the most powerful card in the game, and the richest, worth a full 3 points. The Nine is its lieutenant at 2. The proud Ace and the heavy Ten are worth just 1 each. The King, the Queen, the 8 and the 7, for all their swagger, count for nothing at all. Only four ranks score — and exactly 28 points rest on the table every hand, every one worth fighting for.
THE AUCTION
Before a single trick is played, you bid. The ladder climbs from 16 up to 28 — all 28 points on the table, and not one higher. The number you call is a promise: capture at least that many, or hand the round to the other team. Read your eight cards. Read the table. Then back yourself.
THE HIDDEN TRUMP
Win the auction and you name the trump suit — and here is the soul of 29. You don't have to show it. Keep it closed and face-down, a secret only you hold, and spring it the instant it breaks their backs. Or play it open and dare them to stop you. Knowing when to reveal is the whole art — the difference between a good player and the partner everyone wants across the table.
EIGHT TRICKS, ALL NERVE
Eight cards, eight tricks, no second chances. Follow suit. Count what has already fallen. Set the trap, then time the trump. Lean on your partner — a glance, a discard, a card held one beat too long says more than words. Beat your bid and the points are yours. Fall short, and they slip away.
WAYS TO PLAY
• Solo vs smart bots — no internet, no problem. Three sharp opponents fill the seats in seconds and never quit on you. Perfect for learning the game or sharpening your reads.
• Private tables — open a room, share the code, and up to three friends join you online from anywhere. Any empty seat fills with a bot, so the game always starts.
• Voice chat — talk to your table in private games for the real around-the-table feel: the banter, the bluffs, the groans when the Jack falls.
If you love Spades, Hearts, Bridge or Rummy, 29 will feel like home.

A QUICK NOTE ON THE NAME
The deck holds exactly 28 points to chase — yet the game has always been called 29. Players have passed down their own stories for why, and we love that the little mystery has survived every generation. Some things you don't explain. You just deal the next hand.
