Shadow Realm

Shadow Realm is a level-based Match-3 puzzle game set in a dark, mystical haunted world. Players swap adjacent tiles on a grid to line up three or more identical symbols—ghosts, pumpkins, candles, moons, bats, crystal balls, webs, and tombstones—in a calm but tense atmosphere. The game avoids horror gore and cartoon style in favour of an elegant, minimalistic, and premium feel suitable for a mature audience.

The core loop is classic Match-3 with a twist: a swap is only allowed if it creates at least one match. Matched tiles disappear instantly and new tiles drop in with no animations, keeping the pace quick and the focus on strategy. Each of the twenty levels has a target score and a limited number of moves. Reaching the target before running out of moves completes the ritual; failing leaves the shadows in control until the player retries or chooses another level.

Progress is driven by unlocking levels one by one and earning up to three stars per level based on how many moves remain when the target is hit. Best scores and star counts are saved locally so players can improve over time. A victory screen titled “Ritual Complete” and a defeat screen titled “Shadows Prevail” frame each attempt with clear options to continue to the next level, retry, or open the level select screen.

The app includes a welcome screen, level select grid, in-game screen, achievements, and settings. Eight achievements reward milestones such as finishing the first level, completing five or ten levels, conquering all twenty, winning with five or more moves left, earning three stars, and scoring 2000 points in a single level. Settings allow toggling sound, switching to a deeper shadow theme, and resetting progress with confirmation.

The visual and tonal identity is dark and atmospheric: deep purples, midnight blues, silver and soft violet, with a static moonlit background and no animations anywhere in the interface. Rounded panels, clean typography, and a consistent haunted-realm theme make Shadow Realm feel mysterious and polished rather than childish or sensational.
