ShadeShift is a memory training game that challenges your ability to recall brightness patterns. A 4x4 grid lights up tiles at varying brightness levels for a few seconds, then you must recreate the exact pattern from memory.

Core Gameplay:
- Watch as tiles illuminate with different brightness levels (1-3, later 1-4)
- Each pattern is randomly generated for endless variety
- After the pattern is hidden, tap tiles and set their brightness using a slider
- Submit your answer and see instant feedback on each tile
- Correct tiles glow green, incorrect ones show the right answer in red

50 Progressive Levels:
- Levels 1-5: Master the basics with 6 tiles at 3 brightness levels
- Levels 6-15: Gradually more tiles and faster display times
- Levels 16-25: Up to 10 tiles with 4 brightness levels
- Levels 26-30: Reverse mode flips brightness values for extra challenge
- Levels 31-40: Moving mask adds spatial memory difficulty
- Levels 41-50: Timed input mode tests your speed under pressure

Infinite Mode:
After conquering all 50 levels, unlock endless randomly generated challenges. Compete against your own high score streak and push your memory to the limit.

Star Rating System:
- 3 stars: Perfect recall on first try
- 2 stars: Completed on second attempt
- 1 star: Perseverance pays off
Collect stars to track your overall progress across all levels.

Visual Design:
The game features a sleek dark theme with blue-accented lighting effects. Brightness levels transition smoothly from deep blue to bright white, making each pattern distinct and memorable. Animated feedback on correct matches and subtle error indicators keep the experience engaging.

Difficulty Progression:
The learning curve is carefully tuned. Early levels teach the mechanics gently, while later stages combine multiple challenges simultaneously. By level 45, you will face reverse brightness, moving masks, and time-limited input all at once.
