SeniorHub Assistance

SeniorHub Assistance is installed on the phone of a person being helped (for example, an elderly parent) so a family member can assist them remotely over a video call.

HOW IT WORKS
• A family member authorized by the household can video-call the person being helped, like a regular video call.
• During the call, if the person being helped agrees, the family member can see their screen to help them use it (for example, to find a button or an app).
• If the person being helped turns it on separately, the family member can also guide the screen for them (tap, swipe) — only during a call, never outside of one.

TWO PERMISSIONS, ALWAYS WITH THE HELPED PERSON'S CONSENT
• Viewing the screen (screen capture): only for the duration of the current call.
• Guiding the screen (Android accessibility service): only during a call, and only if the person being helped has said yes.
A banner stays permanently on screen whenever either one is active, so the person being helped always knows what is happening. They can hang up or turn either permission off at any time, even mid-call.

SET UP BY THE FAMILY
A family member connects this device to the household's SeniorHub account. The person being helped then gives their own consent, step by step, before any assistance feature is turned on.

PRIVACY
SeniorHub Assistance does not provide medical monitoring, diagnosis, or emergency services, and does not monitor the person being helped outside of calls. The accessibility service never reads on-screen content — it only relays taps. Information stays private, shared only with authorized members of the household.
