About This App

Secure Notes is a private digital journal, diary, and notebook that stores your notes, memories, and photos inside an encrypted KeePass KDBX 4.x vault.

Your data remains under your control and can be accessed across compatible devices and applications.

No account, subscription, or registration is required.

You can also use the free and open-source Windows companion application to access your encrypted vault on your PC using a shared local, network, or cloud-based storage location. You can also use this to import other diary formats.

Security & Privacy

Your privacy is the foundation of Secure Notes. All of your content is stored inside a single encrypted KeePass KDBX 4.x database using modern security standards.

Security features include:

• AES-256 encryption to protect your entire vault
• Argon2d key derivation for additional protection against password-cracking attacks
• HMAC-SHA256 integrity verification to help detect unauthorised modifications
• Encryption of photos with the rest of your data
• Optional biometric unlock for fast and secure access on supported devices

The app uses the Kotpass library to provide compatibility with KeePass applications while maintaining strong security standards.

Because your data is stored in the open KeePass KDBX format, you are never locked into a single application and retain full ownership of your information.

Sync & Compatibility

Your encrypted vault can be synchronised between devices using your preferred file-sharing or cloud storage service, including:

• Google Drive
• Microsoft OneDrive
• Dropbox
• Local storage
• Network drives
• Other compatible file-sharing solutions

Since Secure Notes uses the standard KeePass KDBX 4.x format, your vault can be opened using many compatible KeePass applications.

Please note that third-party KeePass applications may not support every feature used by Secure Notes. Always keep backups of your database before editing it with other applications.
