IPC platform Belgium

IPC Platform Belgium is an application developed by Sciensano for Belgian hospitals. It supports IPC teams (Infection Prevention & Control) in monitoring IPC practices and performing audits related to infection prevention.

The application is specifically designed for tablets, allowing observations to be carried out easily and efficiently during hospital rounds.Hand hygiene observations can be recorded quickly and intuitively for both the WHO 5 Moments for Hand Hygiene and the basic requirements.

Thanks to its user-friendly interface, healthcare professionals can easily record observations as part of their daily activities on the ward.

Results are immediately available within the application through clear and intuitive graphs. This makes it easy to monitor hand hygiene compliance, identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide targeted feedback to staff.

The application is directly connected to the Sciensano extranet. The application can be used offline and as soon as internet connection is available, all data are automatically synchronized.

Other IPC modules (e.g. Carebundles for HAI prevention) will be added later on in the app.

The application is available in Dutch, French, and English.
