Overview

Features & Capabilities

FPV Tools is an open-source utility and visualization suite designed for FPV drone pilots and custom drone builders. It provides offline tools to model motor sizes, compare rate curves, plan frequencies, visualize flight telemetry, simulate PID controllers, calculate RF link budgets, and analyze swept-sine chirp sweeps.

No internet connection required - access the complete set of calculators, simulators, and analysis tools directly in the field.

Features:
• Betaflight Rate Converter: Compare and convert rate curves across Actual, Betaflight, KISS, and other models with graphical side-by-side previews.
• Betaflight TPA Comparison: Visualize and compare throttle PID attenuation limits, breakpoints, and curves across different profiles.
• Betaflight Sensor Calibration: Calibrate flight controller current scale, offset values, and VBAT voltage sensors for accurate OSD readings.
• Motor Stator Comparator: Calculate and compare motor stator volumes and sizing metrics from tiny whoops to heavy long-range builds.
• Propeller Tip Speed Calculator: Determine propeller tip velocity, Mach numbers, and transonic aerodynamic efficiency zones under load.
• PID Controller Simulator: Model axis control feedback loops, step responses, and motor heat in real-time.
• VTX Frequency Planner: Calculate safe, intermodulation-free frequency layouts and channel assignments for multi-pilot race events.
• EdgeTX Telemetry Log Parser: Parse EdgeTX radio telemetry logs to visualize 3D flight paths and export GPX, KML, and KMZ tracks.
• Radio Frequency Calculators: Calculate line-of-sight range, link budget, convert mW to dBm, and design dipole antennas.
• Chirp Response Analyzer: Measure frequency response, tracking error, and motor saturation from Betaflight chirp sweeps.

App Philosophy / Why Pilots Trust FPV Tools:
• 100% Offline-First: Performs all calculations and charts locally on your device. Works at remote launch sites or race parks with no internet or cellular connection.
• Privacy by Design: No ads, no in-app purchases, and no tracking. FPV Tools does not collect, store, or upload any of your data.
• Fully Open Source: The source code is published under the GPL v3, inviting anyone to inspect, verify, and contribute. The project is hosted on GitHub: https://github.com/saturn-fpv/fpv-tools
• Designed for the Field: A high-contrast, battery-saving dark interface designed for readability under direct sunlight.
