FitJo: Workout & Gym Log

By: Sapid Labs App
Log every set in seconds, then watch your lifts move over the months.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

FitJo is a workout log for people who want to know what the numbers did.

Pick the day, add the lift, start typing. There is no save button anywhere in the app. Every set is written the moment you leave the box, because a phone that locks between sets should not cost you a set.

LOGGING, THE PART YOU DO A HUNDRED TIMES A WEEK

* Each exercise asks only for what it needs. A bench press wants reps and weight, a plank wants time, a run wants distance.
* Add set copies the set above it, so a second set of five is one tap.
* Come back to a lift after a month away and the boxes already hold what you did last time, and it uses your working set rather than your warm-up.
* Weights are set in tabular figures, so a column of numbers lines up instead of shuffling around as you type.
* Kilograms or pounds. Your week starts on the day you say it does.
* 79 exercises are in the catalogue with their muscles and equipment. Search runs on the phone, so it answers while you are still typing. Tell FitJo which equipment your gym has and it stops showing you the rest.

ROUTINES YOU CAN HAND TO SOMEONE ELSE

Save a session as a routine and run it again next week. Publish it and you get a code to send a training partner. They get your exercises and your rep scheme, and their own weights, because 5x5 is 5x5 for anybody but 100 kg is not.

WHAT IS RECOVERED, AND WHAT IS NOT

Every working set fills a gauge for the muscles it trains, and the gauge drains over the days after. Open the tab and you can see whether today is a chest day. The starting numbers are rules of thumb and the app says so. Your shoulders are yours, so you can move them.

WHETHER IT IS ACTUALLY WORKING

Sessions, sets, volume and time, against the same length of time before it. Volume by week. Where the work went by muscle group. Your lifts ranked by estimated one-rep max, and any one of them opened up: personal bests with the dates, an estimated one-rep max line, volume per session, and the sessions themselves.

FREE, AND STAYING FREE

Logging. Routines and sharing. The exercise catalogue. The recovery tab. The last 30 days of your progress. None of that is behind anything.

WHAT FITJO PRO ADDS

* 90-day and 12-month windows on the progress tab
* The full muscle-group split
* Every lift's own charts and its complete session history

Those need a few months of logged training behind them before they say anything useful, so there is no point paying for them in week one.

FitJo keeps your workouts in your account, so a new phone does not start you over. It does not sell your data and it never asks for your location, your contacts or your photos.
