Reviews show a mixed picture: many praise SAP Authenticator for being easier to use and more secure than rivals, and for seeming reliable after setup. However, persistent setup UX problems, missing or nonfunctional QR/secret-key flows, Android 12 and device compatibility issues, data loss when changing phones, and occasional instability severely impact usability. To improve, the app needs clearer onboarding, robust QR/secret-key handling, broader Android compatibility (especially Android 12), and better account backup/recovery.

Recent reviews

Much easier to use and more secure then Google and Microsoft authenticator, I must say with this application we do not have to go throughout that difficult policy for organizations that keep you locked.
