Pool Volume Calculator

Pool Volume Calculator tells you, in seconds, how much water your swimming pool holds — in US gallons, imperial gallons, litres and cubic metres — then helps you estimate how long it takes to fill and roughly how much chemical it needs. It works completely offline and nothing you enter ever leaves your phone.

HOW IT WORKS
Pick your pool shape, enter the dimensions, and the app does the geometry for you. Volume is simply the surface area times the average depth:

• Rectangular: length x width x average depth
• Round: pi x radius squared x average depth (radius = diameter / 2)
• Oval: pi x (length / 2) x (width / 2) x average depth

The volume is reduced to cubic feet and converted for you: one cubic foot of water is about 7.48 US gallons, 6.23 imperial gallons or 28.32 litres. So a 32 x 16 ft pool with a 5 ft average depth is 2,560 cubic feet — roughly 19,149 US gallons.
