Hijaz Finance - Hijaz Community SACCO is a fully registered SACCO under the the Ministry responsible for Cooperatives and supervised by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA) as a fully-fledged Islamic SACCO

We are established to focus on 2 strategic problem areas: (a) Considerably reducing the cost of Hajj and thus increase the number of pilgrims per year (b) Provide a credible array of Sharia compliant investment and business options

The current Hajj requirement is simply prohibitive to over 80% of even middle income Ugandan Muslims. Options for financing and investment are all shrouded in interest (riba) based activities and some are outright not permitted by the Sharia
