Ruckus SWIPE

Ruckus SWIPE (Smart Wireless Installation & Provisioning Engine) is a powerful Chrome extension designed to simplify the configuration and registration of Ruckus Access Points (APs) managed through Ruckus SZ or vSZ. With SWIPE, deploying new APs becomes straightforward — scan the AP's barcode, enter its name, snap a photo of the installation, and select a configuration profile. The AP then automatically connects to the Ruckus controller to download settings.

Beyond deployment, SWIPE enhances network management by highlighting APs with issues, enabling one-click navigation via Google Maps, and testing AP performance while storing analytics data. The extension achieves operational efficiency by eliminating manual and error-prone processes of updating backend systems with device details such as serial and MAC numbers, firmware versions, and locations. Instead, users can conveniently email all pertinent information directly through SWIPE. Note that SWIPE requires Ruckus SZ or vSZ version 2.5 or higher to operate.
