RCS

RCS (which stands for Race Chip Scan) is an Android app designed and developed by Race Timing Solutions (RTS) for use primarily on trail running events where runners are passing through timing checkpoints at a relatively low density. However, it may also be applied to other types of event. Upon reaching a check point a timing marshal will scan an RFID timing chip on a race number bib or on a wrist strap. Race number bib chips would be the more common approach. Such chips are intended to be disposable and would have a range of around 30cm. Wrist chips would be reusable and have a range of 2 to 3 cm only
