Vibration Meter

Vibration Meter is a simple Android vibration measurement app that uses your phone’s built-in accelerometer. It is designed for quick vibration checks, basic trending, learning, and field observations without requiring external hardware.
The app displays a live rolling measurement with RMS, time waveform, and FFT spectrum on one clean screen. Choose the phone axis you want to measure, select the display unit, start collection, and watch the vibration signal update in real time.

Vibration Meter is useful for quick inspection of motors, fans, pumps, bearings, machinery, appliances, structures, and general vibration sources. It can help visualize vibration behavior, compare trends, identify dominant frequencies, and understand how vibration changes over time.

The FFT spectrum uses a Hann window for visual frequency analysis. Overall RMS is calculated separately using the rolling measurement window. For velocity and displacement, the app performs signal processing suitable for a phone accelerometer, including filtering and integration.

Important note:
Phone accelerometers have limited sample rate, bandwidth, range, mounting quality, and calibration compared with dedicated industrial vibration analyzers. Velocity RMS measurements may not cover the full ISO 10816 / ISO 20816 recommended 10-1000 Hz range on all devices. Results depend on the phone model, sensor quality, mounting method, and measurement conditions.

Vibration Meter is intended for quick phone-based vibration checks and trending. It is not a substitute for a calibrated industrial vibration analyzer or certified ISO 10816 / ISO 20816 assessment.
