- Smart search: check locally → cloud → Google/Open Library

- Add books manually or find them online

- Automatic cover loading from online sources

- If no cover is available, you can take your own photo as a custom cover. These images stay on your device only and are not uploaded, shared, or used for redistribution.

- Manage reading status: Unread, Reading, Finished, Abandoned

- Mark books as “Owned” or “Wishlist”

- Filter, sort, and search your bookshelf

- Series support: Bookielist automatically detects series, shows volume numbers, and lets you jump straight into the full series view

- Crowd‑powered series data: If information is missing, you can add it directly in the book details and share it anonymously with the community – completely optional

- Create backups and restore them on a new device

How Bookielist keeps improving

When you scan or add a book, its metadata (title, author, ISBN, cover URL) can be stored anonymously in a shared cloud cache. This means books that others have already scanned will appear instantly for you – without relying on external APIs.

The same applies to series: if you add missing series names or volume numbers, you can share them anonymously to help others. No account. No personal data. Just book metadata.
