To Roll, or Not to Roll: 10k

Ten thousand. That is the whole game. Roll five dice, keep the ones that score, and decide every single turn whether to bank what you have or push your luck for more.

To Roll, or Not to Roll is the classic 5-dice 10,000 dice game, cleaned up and made to be played with the people you actually play games with.

The game is centuries old and goes by a dozen names — Farkle, Zilch, Ten Thousand, Dix Mille.

The rules here are the classic ones: 5 dice, 350 opening and the 2,500 last-hope bank.

HOW IT WORKS

• Roll five dice. Keep at least one scoring die to roll again.
• 1s are 100, 5s are 50. Three of a kind, straights and five of a kind pay big.
• A roll with no scoring dice is a bust — you lose everything you had in that turn.
• You need 350 points on the board to make your first bank.
• Reach exactly 10,000 to win. Past 9,500 you must land the exact number — or bank 2,500 in a single turn for the last-hope win.

PLAY YOUR WAY

• Online with 2-4 players: create a room, share the 6-character code, and your friends can join. No accounts, no sign-ups, no friend lists.
• Offline against the computer: play against up to 3 AI opponents, each with its own nerve (Cautious, Normal, or a risk taker who will absolutely push his luck).
• Turn-based: the table waits for you, and the turn passes on if you are away too long.
