Chicken Rush

Chicken Rush - a single tap arcade game about walking a hen across a wide night road. The hen starts on the near pavement and every tap on the screen moves it exactly one row forward, so the whole game is played with one finger and no swipes or buttons. The road is built from six traffic lanes separated by strips of grass. Grass strips are safe and let the player stop and read the traffic, while every lane carries cars, vans and box trucks that keep rolling. Each lane runs in its own direction and at its own pace, and the gaps between vehicles are never the same twice, so each crossing has to be timed by watching the traffic rather than by memorising a pattern. Every completed step adds fifty points to the counter shown on the panel at the top of the screen. Touching a vehicle ends the round immediately. Reaching the far pavement returns the hen to the starting side and speeds up all the traffic, so the further a run goes the tighter the timing becomes, up to a fixed upper limit on how fast the lanes can move. A round can be paused at any moment with the button in the top corner, which stops all traffic and offers to continue, start a fresh attempt or leave to the main screen. When a run ends, a summary panel shows the points of that attempt next to the best result achieved so far, together with options to try again straight away or return to the main screen. The best result is stored on the device and stays available between sessions, and it is also shown on the main screen under the title. Settings hold a vibration switch for the short feedback pulse that plays on every step and on a collision, and an option that clears the stored best result back to zero. The game runs in portrait orientation and works offline.
