RoadFit is a navigation system that leverages user participation to build road condition data. Beyond simple route guidance, it incorporates real-time user-generated tagging information (accidents, construction, congestion, fallen objects, etc.) to provide more sophisticated navigation. The app analyzes GPS location, traffic flow, and user-reported data to suggest routes that minimize risk, not simply the fastest route. Guidance quality continuously improves as user data accumulates repeatedly on the same route. Users can record dangerous sections with just a few taps while driving, and other drivers can use this information to proactively identify hazards, ultimately delivering a safer and more reliable user-engaged navigation experience.
