Ritmotando – The Metronome

Ritmotando is a professional practice tool for musicians who want more than a simple click. It combines a high-accuracy metronome with MIDI drum playback, MIDI loop playback, and a full practice session system — all in one app.

Metronome
- BPM wheel from 20 to 400 with tap tempo and ±1 nudge buttons
- Time signatures from 1/2 to 24/16
- Visual beat indicator that flashes on every downbeat
- Customisable click sounds — choose accent, beat, and sub-beat independently from the full General MIDI percussion palette
- Count-in — configurable number of lead-in beats before playback starts
- Ghost click — alternate audible and silent bars to develop your internal timing, with optional subdivision displacement during the silent phase

Mixer
- Separate volume faders for the bar accent, each beat, 16th-note subdivisions (1, e, +, a), and 8th-note triplets
- Mute any layer instantly to practise with partial clicks
- MIDI channel mixer with per-channel volume and mute when a drum file is loaded

Practice automation
- Save any metronome configuration as a named preset (BPM, time signature, BPM ramp, duration)
- Chain presets into playlists that run automatically one after another
- BPM ramp modes: linear, logarithmic, and random — ideal for speed-building exercises
- Stop modes: fixed duration or fixed number of repetitions

MIDI drum player
- Load any standard MIDI drum groove and play it in perfect sync with the metronome click
- Bring your own meter — set the time signature on the preset and the groove follows, whether you are counting in 4/4, 5/4, 7/8, or any meter your music demands
- General MIDI drum map with named channels (kick, snare, hi-hat…)
- Independent per-channel volume and mute so you can solo or remove any drum part

MIDI loop player
- Load General MIDI arrangements and play them alongside the click in any time signature — from straightforward 4/4 to the most complex odd meters
- Full mixer with per-channel MIDI control alongside the loop

Practice journal
