When you open RinkPuck, tap Play and dive straight into action. Each round brings ten multiple-choice questions drawn from a varied set of hockey topics. Questions cover everything from ice hockey basics — how many players skate on the ice, what a hat trick means, and how long a regulation period lasts — to league details like the Stanley Cup, NHL team facts, penalties, power plays, icing, and positions on the ice. Gameplay in RinkPuck keeps the pace lively. You have ninety seconds on the clock to work through the round. The timer counts down while you read each question and choose one of four possible answers. Answer correctly and you earn ten points while keeping your streak alive. Get three correct answers in a row and RinkPuck rewards you with an extra bonus on top of your base score. Pick the wrong option and you lose one of your three lives, shown as hearts at the top of the screen. Run out of lives before the round ends, or let the timer hit zero, and the game is over.

Your goal in RinkPuck is clear: answer at least seven questions correctly before time runs out or your lives are gone. That is how you claim victory. Fall short and you will see a game over the screen — but every round is a chance to learn something new about hockey and push for a better result next time. A progress indicator shows which question you are on, so you always know how far you have come in the round.

After each round, RinkPuck shows a full results screen so you always know how you performed. See your final score, how many answers you got right out of ten, and how much of the ninety-second timer you used. RinkPuck also tracks your personal best score across all your completed rounds, so you have a clear target to beat every time you play. A top scores list shows your five highest results, giving you a simple leaderboard to compare your recent runs and celebrate improvement when you beat your own record.
