Features & Capabilities

The LRD App is a mobile application that contains the liturgical text & rites of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (MOSC).

It provides instant access to the prayers for the current day and hour using the "Pray Now" feature. A background audio option can accompany users while they access these prayers. Users have the ability to set their preferences for display themes with "Night Mode Prayer Screen", and also the ability to silence calls and notifications with the "Do No Disturb" setting. The LRD App also provides intuitive gestures with pinch to zoom for prayer text sizing, back-swipe navigation, and portrait/landscape views with auto-fullscreen mode.

Resources & Current Contents Include - Shehimo: Book of Common Prayer, The Fast of Nineveh: Hours of Prayer for the Nineveh Fast, Great Lent: Daily Prayers for Grent Lent, Holy Week: Daily Prayers and Special Services for Holy Week, Holy Qurbono (as well as Qyomtho & Sleebo Vespers/Matins, Liturgical Year Hymns), Complete Bible (RSV) and Liturgical Calendar with Lectionary

It's a great application for Indian Malankara Syrian Orthodox community, to understand the Holy Liturgy. Very helpful for English speaking malayalies.

Very informative and gives a opportunity to attain spiritual high. But I have a small regret, I re- installed this application recently, after which I the text screen keeps on loading and doesn't show up. Only the audio works . I would be grateful this is looked upon. Dec 20th update - after uninstall and install it's workking fine now .
