Ride Metrics uses your phone's GPS and built-in motion sensors to record a ride while your device stays safely in your pocket. Follow live readings during recording, then explore detailed statistics, charts, elevation data, and a GPS track after the ride ends.

BUILD YOUR RIDE HISTORY
Save recordings on your device, give rides custom names, and quickly reuse favorite names with presets. Open previous rides at any time, compare multiple recordings, rename entries, or delete rides you no longer need.

DESIGNED FOR POCKET RECORDING
A foreground recording service allows Ride Metrics to keep measuring while the screen is off or the app is in the background. An ongoing Android notification lets you know when recording is active. Optional vibration confirms when a recording starts or stops.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Ride recordings and preferences are processed and stored locally on your device. Ride Metrics does not require an account, contain ads or analytics, or upload your ride history to a developer-operated server. You control saved recordings and can delete individual rides or clear your entire history.

Location permission is required for GPS-based speed, distance, altitude, and track features. Background location enables active recordings to continue when the app is not visible. Results depend on your phone's available sensors, GPS conditions, device placement, and ride conditions, and should be treated as estimates rather than certified measurements.

Please follow all ride operator instructions. Secure your phone completely before boarding, keep it in your pocket throughout the ride, and never handle or view your device while the ride is moving.
