Mini a Pé is an app that redefines the relationship between families and the city.
Mini a Pé is an invitation to experience the city with more presence, connection, and discovery. Created to bring adults and children closer to real spaces, the app proposes routes through the city that awaken observation, conversation, and a sense of belonging, stimulating curiosity and learning through the urban territory of Porto Alegre. Instead of holding attention, it returns it to the world: to the streets, the squares, the buildings, the nature that sprouts along the way, and the small details that often go unnoticed.
We believe that technology can be a means to promote quality time in physical spaces. Therefore, the responsible adult acts as a facilitating guide, while the child becomes the protagonist in a safe and playful way, discovering and learning with the city.
ROUTES FOR ALL AGE STAGES
Based on the map and the choice of neighborhoods, each route opens up an experience of encountering the city—its history, its memory, its spaces for pause and play. At each point, there are invitations to observe, listen, interact, and care, always mediating moments between the guide and those walking alongside.
The app offers different exploration formats to adapt to your family:
• Itinerary (0 to 6 years): Developed for early childhood, it guides caregivers with suggestions for sensory exploration, body movement, contact with nature, and contact with art.
• Itineraries: A journey rich in history, culture, and curiosities for school-aged children. Walk through the city and unlock points on the map via GPS to answer challenges and learn while playing.
HEALTHY AND EDUCATIONAL GAMIFICATION
As the family explores and unlocks points of interest, the profile earns points and collects badges, such as "Curious Little Seed" or "City Detective." The goal? To level up and become a true "Guardian of Porto Alegre"! All this is done without virtual coins, hidden purchases, or addictive engagement mechanics.
SAFETY AND PRIVACY FIRST
Your family's safety is our top priority. Mini a Pé operates in strict compliance with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and the ECA Digital (Brazilian Statute of Children and Adolescents):
• The application must be managed exclusively by an adult over 18 years of age.
• The child's profile uses only avatars and fictitious nicknames for total anonymity.
• The platform is free of chats, multiplayer modes, or social rankings that expose children.
• Location (GPS) is only activated when the app is in use to unlock route content, without background tracking. This ensures interaction with the real city, outside of the screens! Points are unlocked by real proximity.
More than an app, Mini a Pé is a tool to strengthen the relationship between people and the city. A guide to experiencing urban space as a place of learning, affection, citizenship, and imagination.
Because the city is not just a passage.
It's presence. It's relationship. It's play.
And it's also a way to learn to care for the world we live in.
