RETU: AI Document Reader

Listen to documents without losing your place.

RETU turns documents and pasted text into spoken audio. Read along with synchronized highlighting, adjust the narrator and playback speed, save useful passages, and return later without losing your position.

LISTEN AND FOLLOW ALONG
RETU keeps the document visible while it speaks. Turn on Follow to keep the active sentence centered, use replay and 10-second controls, or move through prepared sections with the narration timeline.

MAKE NARRATION YOURS
Choose a narrator and adjust playback speed for dense reading, everyday review, or faster scanning.

SAVE YOUR PLACE
Create named bookmarks for important passages. RETU can remember your recent document, playback position, selected voice, speed, and bookmarks locally on your device.

EXPORT AUDIO
Render a document as an M4A audio file that you can preview, open, or share.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
RETU does not require an account and does not contain advertising or analytics. Documents are processed locally for RETU's core reading features. A one-time internet download is required for the speech model and selected voice; after those assets are ready, narration is generated on your device and can work offline. Wi-Fi is recommended for the initial model download.

IMPORTANT
Automated narration, highlighting, and exported audio can contain errors, omissions, or mispronunciations. The original document remains the authoritative source. Verify important legal, medical, financial, academic, safety-critical, or other high-stakes information against the original document.
